Description

Monument Shutter’s manufacturing process combines state of the art equipment with hand crafted workmanship for the finest custom shutter available. Monument Shutter’s wood shutters are manufactured using only the highest quality woods. The wood is kiln-dried, making it less prone to warpage and shrinkage and more resistant to temperature extremes.

  • Top Rail: 3.5″ (3″ on panel shutters)
  • Center Rail: 3.5″ (3″ on panel shutters)
  • Bottom Rail: Varies but at least 3.5” (3” on panel shutters)

PRIMED SHUTTERS NOTE: Monument Shutters uses a tinted grey primer on all products to ensure full coverage. Primed shutters may require a light sanding upon arrival before you apply your color of choice.

Pine wood is more susceptible to gradual rot in coastal and high moisture areas. If you do live in one of these areas, we recommend Cedar as a more suitable option. Be sure to seal and paint on an annual basis for the longest life. We do not recommend Pine shutters for functional use because they are light duty. If you decide to use them with hinges, we recommend you use 3 hinges on shutters taller than 45”.
