These shutters are constructed with a sturdy pine framework and are backed by composite panels that resist the elements far better than wood alone, ensuring long-term durability and stability. Each shutter comes primed with a tinted grey primer for optimal paint adhesion and may require light sanding before applying your chosen color.

While pine offers a classic, warm aesthetic, it is more susceptible to moisture-related degradation. For homes in coastal or high-moisture areas, we recommend regular maintenance with sealing and painting annually, or opting for cedar as a more robust alternative. If a natural wood finish or stain is preferred, please specify that you require a stain-grade or unfinished option when ordering.

These shutters are available in various configurations including fixed mount with clear Lexan mounting hardware, fixed decorative mount to mimic the appearance of functioning shutters, or true functioning colonial exterior shutters.
